Stockroom Assistant/Parts Driver

Primary Responsibilities: • Process all received parts and sort by customer, service, or stock • Replenish stock parts to proper location in parts room • Deliver service parts to either inside technician or place in field technician’s box • Deliver parts using a company van in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area • Pull parts from computer-generated pick tickets which would include customer orders, service orders, and technician van replenish orders • Ship those parts that are being delivered to customers or North Side branch which would include o Using banding machine to prepare some shipments o Printing labels for packages o Processing UPS shipments • Adjust bin locations and assign parts locations as directed by the foreman • Answer stockroom phone • Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of stockroom • Responsible to act in a professional and ethical manner in the performance of above duties Knowledge, Skills, & Experience: • Education & Certification: High school degree • Skills (Language, Math): Basic math/ Good language skills required • Territory Knowledge: Knowledge of area streets and byways • Systems Knowledge: Windows & Microsoft Office • Physical Requirements: Able to lift 75 - 100 lbs. • Other: Valid driver’s license, good driving record, DMV check, drug screening, & background check
