Hiring for: Part Time Product Assemblers Locations are the 2-4 Home Depot Stores closest to your home based on volume. Assemblers generally work at each store one day per week. Generally, 8-10 hours of assemble work is needed for a store's assembly appointment. Assembly takes place inside the stores in the back of the outside garden department. The hours are generally 7AM-4PM weekdays, but are flexible. You can work between 3 and 6 days a week with us. It is your choice. We are looking for a basic commitment of 3 days per week minimum. Training hours will be • 7am – 4pm, Mon – Fri with an hour for lunch • After 40 hours of training, you move to being paid based on the piece or product assembled. o Pay rate is based on piece rate production and could be as low as minimum wage to $35 an hour or more based on your ability • Payday is every 2 weeks Successful team members have a work history of: • Previous Assembly • Auto Mechanic • Construction • Laborer • Plumber • Piece Work • Painter • Landscaper • Handyperson Job Description Assembly of: • Grills • Wheelbarrows • Tool boxes • Patio furniture • Log Splitters • Other items as stores request On average, we assemble between 20 wheelbarrows and about 25 grills per appointment. Requirements MUST • Be mechanically inclined! • Have basic hand tools. • Be able to stand for long periods of time • Be able to lift 50 – 60 lbs on 65% of the time • Be able to work outside under canopy (Usually in the back of a Home Center Garden Department) If you reply to this posting you will be contacted and will be given the schedule for in store interview with our hiring manager.
