MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN -- for Single-Family Rental Homes Our properties are located in: The Tahoe Metro area Are you looking for a long-term and stable position, AND, an employer that offers tremendous growth opportunity? We are looking for two (2) Maintenance Technicians to be a part of our fast-growing Operations Team. The right person for this role will have experience as a home-repair handyman or working for single-family REITs providing maintenance for single-family homes, or as a maintenance tech working at a large multi-family property. The right candidate will have broad experience handling general HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, toilets, painting, flooring, appliances, doors, walls/drywall, and minor exterior work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain our luxury properties in the Tahoe metro area. Repair structures such as showers, sinks, toilets, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors. Minor HVAC repairs and replenishing refrigerant. Minor Appliance Repair. Must be able to exemplify and exercise discretion and sound independent judgment to evaluate the quality of work. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Strong knowledge of Real Estate Construction, Renovations, and Repairs. Minimum 2-3 years building maintenance experience performing some carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and painting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail & high-performance standards Excellent communication skills (both oral & written). Must be able to speak, write, and understand English. Ability to work efficiently and to multi-task Proven record of working independently and with minor supervision An effective team player with a positive attitude Able to be on-call for responding to after-hours emergencies. Prior maintenance experience working at a large multi-family property, or within the single-family rental industry EDUCATION High school or equivalent (required) LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS Valid Driver’s License EPA (preferred) OSHA (preferred) BENEFITS Competitive base pay 2 weeks paid time off Paid Federal Holidays (9) Core Medical coverage for employees is paid 100% by Lessen. Weekly Mileage reimbursement when not using company Maintenance Truck OTHER All workplace tools and supplies will be provided by Lessen. Company Maintenance Van A valid Drivers License and Clean-ish driving record is required to be hired for this position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
