I'm looking for: Non Flakes/Non Dysfunctional To Start Band--Bass, Drums, Singer, for all originals band. I don't need another guitarist. Bands are (generally speaking) too guitar heavy. Keyboards would be better than another guitar. Vocals/Singer, male or female--Hey you. I need cool, edgy with musical depth, no fa la la sing song type but he able to carry a tune and stay on key. Give me the basics plus magic. And rock it. Like Plant, Lennon, Cobain, Joplin, Fogerty, Jett, Cooper, Winehouse, Scott--power hitters with pipes, sexiness and confidence, grit, creativity, a vibe or two or three. 'Crooner' and 'Songbird' style vocals are not applicable, in case the examples above do not provide a clear picture. Instrumentalists--Hey You. Play on a pro level and don't sound like a beginner or intermediate musician. Hey You--Everybody. No fuck ups. No drunks, heavy drinkers, slackers or stoners. No flake outs. You'll get the boot right quick. Take my word on that. Motivation problems and can't follow through? Don't bother replying to this ad. I won't make excuses and exceptions for someone who can't pull it together and get stuff done when everyone else is doing their part. The resulting band will not sound like a bunch of wankers doing recycled 70s 80s 90s hackneyed idiomatic Rock cliches. But it will be fresh sounding Rock. And it will likely get somewhere because the writing and arranging will be well above average and given the above personnel barriers I put in place all the psychos and flakes I chased away will be out there demolishing any bands that are competitive. 😁 Hopefully there's serious and committed talent out there with available time to work on launching something that will be excellent, sell records, tour comfortably and collect royalties when it's time to pull the plug, smile and be satisfied with what we accomplished.
