Position: Outreach Delivery Associate Position Type: Temporary (3+ months) Location: Newark, NJ and surrounding areas Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm Pay: $18/hour Tentative Start Date: Late May/Early June Seeking individuals to provide outreach assistance for a large NJ utility company. Outreach Delivery Associates will be hand delivering to selected customers utility information on deferred payment options, energy assistance programs, and local resources to help them resolve their outstanding bills. Paid training will be provided. A daily stipend will be provided for mileage and travel expenses. What the Outreach Delivery Associate will be doing: Meet with team and Supervisor every morning to review assignment and pick up any needed materials for daily drop-offs. Perform safe, reliable services for outreach to utility customers. Drive to assigned territory, park and then walk door-to-door to drop off information packets. Deliver assistance information to customers in North, Central, and Southern New Jersey. Take photo with company provided Android smart phone to confirm delivery. Able to provide a short pitch (from training) should a customer ask for details on what the package is for and redirect appropriately to company resources. Responsible for 80-100 deliveries per day. What experience we are looking for: HS Diploma or higher Must have basic data entry skills with a phone/tablet. Having some “hands-on” experience working outside and with the public is a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and an insured vehicle. Will be required to drive/park safely, work in a safe manner always, and have situational awareness when on the job to avoid/overcome any difficult situations. Must be able to pass a Background Check, Motor Vehicle Check and Drug Screen. This is an outdoor position that requires individuals comfortable with continuous exposure to heat, cold and other physically demanding outdoor environments. Must be able to walk 3-5 miles per day. A major emphasis on reliable, self-managed individuals to complete their daily work with a high degree of quality and limited supervision. Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
