Join us for a Friday morning stroll at Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens! This month we'll explore the summer beauty of Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens! Due to the peak bloom of the lotuses in the park, we're going to try a rare weekday hike. Weekends this time of year get too busy. We hope you can still make it! We'll meet in front of the Visitor's Center at 8:30am and stroll the walking trails. This will be a laid-back "hike" featuring the beautiful aquatic gardens with lotuses and trails. Don't forget your camera, plenty of water and snacks! Registration for the hike is FREE. PARK FEES + RULES: FREE, Dogs welcome but not in the garden beds. New Event Rules: Max number of participants: 12Masks are required* and please maintain social distancing. All dogs must remain leashed (6ft or less) for the duration of the hike. Practice the "Leave No Trace" principles and pick up the poop.*We will continue with this rule until covid numbers are lower and/or all participants are fully vaccinated. Our hiking series began in 2018 to bring DC's amazing dog community together through monthly outdoor adventures in the metro + beyond. Note on liability: These hikes are 'at your own risk" events.
