Burnwell beach and Aunt Bettys house trail tour ATV/UTV/SXS (we do not rent the rides) 1 ticket per machine. We will be leaving Williamson at 9:30AM . Winding up through Buffalo Mountain towards Matewan WV. Stopping at scenic overlooks and a mudpit to play in if you want ;) After lunch in Matewan (not included) we will then be going back down RT49 to an obscure little country road, to get to Aunt Betty's House. . This is where Rosanna McCoy ran when things went bad for her. After meeting Jonesy Hatfield near the Hog Trial Cabin on election day, they had a torrid love affair and she became pregnant. She was then was exiled by both families. She was taken in by Aunt Betty. She gave birth to her baby here, and it died 8 months later. The baby is buried in a graveyard on a hill near the house. And one of the McCoy family cemetery's is on the other side of the house. We will be visiting all 3 of these places. Keep in mind the baby's grave is up about 100 steps. From there, we will hit a local hot spot by the tug river known to us locals as Burnwell Beach. This is an amazing, relaxing location, hidden from the hustle and bustle of real life. This is an all day tour, and has tons of history and photo ops. Blue and Green level trails. Aprox 50-60 miles of trails and about 10 miles of road riding to get to these locations, there is no other way... Must have Hatfield & McCoy trail sticker and DOT approved helmet.
