Job Description Maintenance Tech We are looking for a maintenance technician for our beautiful apartment community in Southside Hampton Roads, VA! The maintenance technician will be responsible to maintain the physical integrity of the property. Duties include: •Assist with the turn process and upgrading the apartments. •Complete resident service requests. Whenever possible, all requests should be completed within 24 hours. •Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair involving the following, but not limited to, on a daily basis: •Electrical and plumbing (including water lines) •A/C and heating systems •Appliances •Stairs, gates, fences, patios, and railings •Tile, carpet, and flooring •Roofing, gutters, fasteners •Interior/exterior lights •Fireplaces, ceiling fans •Shutters, doors, cabinets, windows, sliding glass doors Boiler, gas and electric •Door locks, P.O. boxes and locks •Ceiling leaks •Walls •Assist in keeping the grounds neat and free of litter. Rakes, sweeps, and shovels as circumstances warrant. Learn and comply with all company safety rules. Use appropriate safety equipment at all times. Be familiar with all safety features on equipment, machinery, or materials encompassed by job duties. Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the property Knowledge/Experience Required of the Position Ability to execute in a multitask environment Ability to work with third party contractor relationships when on-site Education and Experience Required Current Certifications in EPA, Minimum of 2 years’ experience in property management High School Diploma required, College preferred Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
