Description

Come join us for this fun family event! NJDEP Department of Fish and Wildlife and Hooked-on-Fishing present their Free Fishing Day. Hackensack Riverkeeper, along with the Town of Secaucus, and Hudson River Fishermen’s Association are running a Fishing Derby to celebrate this Free Fishing Day. No fishing licenses are required on this day. Children (and children at heart) are invited to join us on Saturday, June 5th, from 2pm- 5pm, at the Fishing Promenade in Laurel Hill County Park. Prizes will be given out for a variety of categories, including, but not limited to, biggest fish, most fish, etc. Due to Covid-19: REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, space is limited, face coverings are mandatory, and social distancing will be enforced. Spaces will be marked off and fishing gear will be sanitized before each angler’s use. REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 3 PERSONS PER SPACE AND 1 ADULT IS REQUIRED IN EACH SPACE. Unfortunately, walk-ups cannot be accommodated at this time. Save time and fill out the required waiver form here! As space is limited, if you can no longer attend, please either cancel via EventBrite or notify the office, at (201) 968-0808, as soon as possible so we may open the space to other anglers. For more information, please contact our office at (201) 968-0808, email us at [email protected] or visit our website at www.hackensackriverkeeper.org. And don't forget to visit us on Facebook! Tight Lines! Hackensack Riverkeeper Team "Keep Calm and Fish On!"
