Join us for the 2nd stop of The Gumbo Club presented by The Sage of Houston's Black Food Scene: My Southern Brand in partnership w/Mad Nice The Gumbo Club Food Tour is all about supporting our Black Restaurant Community and in this community we have a number of restaurants that are hidden gems. Come experience some of these hidden gems and the My Southern Brand treatment where you'll have an opportunity to enjoy the feature restaurant's menu and an exclusive opportunity to try some of the feature restaurant's off-menu items. Second stop on the tour is The Greasy Spoon. Please arrive 15 mins early. The restaurant is usually pretty busy. You will have first entry priority and will be able to skip the line. 21+ and BYOB ( $5 cork fee for each bottle) **Please note: Your ticket purchase is to reserve your seat at the event. We know many times when guest reserve a seat for a free event, some guest do know show up. This ticket purchase is "your skin in the game" to ensure that you show up. Food and beverages will be purchased through the restaurant which will include a charge for the food and gratuity. **Also note: For individual tickets you may be placed at a table with a guest you do not know, but we will be sure to seat you in accordance to Harris Public Health COVID-19 safety best practices. Menu: Dates: Friday, May 21st , Saturday, May 22nd, and Sunday, May 23rd All Three Nights are from 7pm-10pm CST Entrées: Smothered Oxtails $25 (served with rice and choice of two sides) The “Boss” Seafood Stack $35 (dirty rice or white rice & collard greens, topped with cajun fried catfish & lobster tail, sautéed shrimp & crabmeat, smothered in a Cajun seafood sauce) Soulfood Stuff’d Turkey Leg $22 (jumbo smoked Turkey leg, stuff’d with collard greens, mac n cheese & dirty rice, smothered in out Cajun signature sauce) Grilled Lamb Chops $25 (three herb & rosemary or jerk lamb chops, served with smothered in our Cajun signature sauce, served with choice of two sides) Chicken & Sausage Gumbo & Fried Catfish $18 Cajun Fried Seafood Platter $28 (Cajun fried catfish filet, 6 fried shrimp, and fried lobster tail, served with french fries or choice of side) Lobster Mac N Cheese $30 (the ultimate mac n cheese with lobster meat, served with a cajun fried lobster tail) Dessert: Homemade Peach Cobbler $10 served with Blue Bell Vanilla Ice Cream Available Sides: Candied Yams, Collard Greens, and Mac N Cheese ___ COVID-19 Disclaimer: A conscious effort will be made to observe guidelines for gatherings as set forth by Harris County Public Health. All staff will take the necessary steps to ensure guest safety. We ask that guest take the necessary precautions as well such as wearing the appropriate face coverings authorized in Harris County Public Health guidelines, conducting sanitization best practices such as washing your hands, and, if showing any COVID-19 related symptoms, not attending- a refund of your ticket will be authorized to you. A screening form will be sent to you the week of the event for approval of your entrance into the event once determined that you do not run the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
