Learn to make beautiful, handmade paper from everyday paper waste! Join Austin Creative Reuse and local artist Noah Flippo in this beginner-friendly paper making workshop! Participants will learn how to recycle junk mail and discarded paper products into simple sheets of "water-leaf" style paper using upcycled mold/deckles. This workshop will take place indoors. Masks and social distancing required. About the artist: Noah is a local Austin-based artist with interests in paper making, stained glass, and making jewelry with natural materials. Noah considers himself a “jack-of-all-trades” artist and has many different interests. Recently he has been working with recycled materials to create textural paper products. He hopes to share his findings with others to help grow a movement with other artists to divert a larger amount of paper waste from landfills.
