Create a lead-free cast metal sculpture, pendant, pin, plant ornament, etc with OR for your mom person in your life! Create a one-of-a-kind metal casting and lasting memories for mom, mother, other-mother, mothering-type, or one of the many people supported by their love! WOW loves Mother's Day for the obvious, but also because when you turn WOW upside down - MOM! Learn the transformational process of cast metal to create your small sculpture, pendant, pin, necklace or what-have-you for your special someone! In this all hands-on, creative and exciting class you will carve an original design (or choose from a selection of symbols and imagery) into a cuttlefish bone to create negative space. That space is filled with lead-free pewter to create your original metal casting. You pour the metal into your mold, do finishing work with hand files/power tools, and colored inks are optional. Hand-stamp a word of intention/name and mount your sculpture on metal/wood/stone base or affix jewelry/keychain hardware or just put it in your pocket. No experience necessary. This workshop is most appropriate for ages 10-up. An adult/parent can stay with the child during the class or come back to pick up. COVID precautions include distancing, masks and sanitizing.
