Description
AUSTIN, TX — Catholic Charities of Central Texas will host a diapers and personal hygeine drive-thru in Austin to help those affected by the pandemic and February's winter storms.
The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon (or until supplies run out) on Saturday at its charity's office at 1625 Rutherford Lane.
Those in need of basic hygeine items may drive thru the charity's office for no-contact pickup. Catholic Charities experienced high demand at its first Austin drive-thru event on March 20.
"We are hosting this second event because we know the need is still great in our community," officials said.
The faith-based social services organization is dedicated to helping people of all ages, faiths, ethnic backgrounds and economic circumstances to strengthen families and address basic needs across 25 Texas counties, authorities said.
Catholic Charities of Central Texas provides services in 6 areas: Mental Health Services, Disaster Response, Financial Stability, Parenting and Pregnancy Resources, Immigration Legal Services and St. Michael's Veteran Services.
