Green's Gardens is looking for a skilled Gardener for 5 days per week Monday-Friday--8:00am to 4:00pm (end time is approximate). We are a small, locally-grown company (20+ years) specializing in quality pruning, plant and garden care. Our strengths are on customer service, organic practices, eco-consciousness, efficiency, and a great working environment based on mutual respect, learning, clear communication and hard work. See photos and reviews on Yelp... Greens Gardens ABOUT YOU: We are looking for hard-working positive and engaged gardeners. You will be in the field with another gardener maintaining gardens in Berkeley and Oakland. We are looking for a horticulturist who has professional experience in fine gardening and maintenance, including Plant ID, disease and nutrition issues, strong aesthetic pruning skills, and lawn and drip irrigation skills. REQUIREMENTS - you must have some of these skills, but not all are required. - comprehensive plant identification, care and culture - skilled pruning, including fruit tree pruning, espalier, shrub reduction - irrigation troubleshooting and repair - lawn care - sustainable maintenance practices - planting practices - vegetable gardening - sheet mulching - soil amending - water conservation practices. Must have a valid driver's license, and clean DMV record. Must drive stick shift Spanish speaker a plus JOB DETAILS: Starting Pay depending on experience - $20-23 depending on experience Meet every morning in South Berkeley.
