Recognize Global Accessibility Awareness Day by increasing your organization's accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This workshop is designed to provide you with tangible ways to make your organization more accessible. From 8am-8:30am, we will be providing breakfast from Rivertown. The workshop will begin at 8:30am and will last approximately one hour. By engaging in this workshop, participants will learn about: Types of disabilities and prevalence "Person-first" language versus "Identity-first" language Environmental (meeting ADA/AA standards), Technological, and Societal barriersInformation about additional resources We will also be making a very exciting announcement at this workshop that you don't want to miss! Registration for this workshop is free for Shoals Nonprofit Center members and $10 for those who are not members.
