I'm a bass player, but also write and arrange on guitar and Keyboards. Have many originals in various styles, mainly instrumental. Interested in starting a fun, new-wave/alt-rock band playing gems (covers) from 80s, 90, 2000s. U2, The Fixx, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Joe Jackson, Spoon, Bravery, Keane, Killers, Cure, The Shins, etc. Too many great tunes to list. Basically good party music with feeling and groove. Otherwise I'd be interested in connecting with other players interested in original music. Could be almost anything that grooves and has strong melodic and harmonic potential. I have a very wide taste, and am competent in a free environment. You know, jamming. Jam, film, or new age genres are a plus, even good progressive / metal, Porcupine tree, Ozric Tentacles, Opeth, etc. Massive Attack, Thievery Corp, Brian Eno, lots of directions... Just moved here from SJ, and would like to get started with something cool after all this COVID stuff. Me: 52, married, family, engineering, nature, fitness, beer, etc. Once to twice a week rehearsal, 6-12 gigs per year is preferred. Cheers, James
