SAN RAFAEL, CA — The city of San Rafael helped coordinated a neighborhood volunteer effort to remove invasive broom. The effort comes on the eve of what state officials could be another catastrophic wildfire season. The floral shrubs though attractive pose significant fire risk. San Rafael firefighters joined the city-led effort and the Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority helped with debris removal. "A great example of a community effort to reduce wildfire risk," the San Rafael Fire Department tweeted.
