CARPENTER Assistant JOB DESCRIPTION: A successful remodeling company is seeking a motivated full time Assist Carpenter/Laborer/Apprentice who has experience 1 year in Residential Remodeling as in addition construction, to join their residential remodeling crew. This locally owned business is looking for the right person, who is reliable, and has a self-starter work ethic. If you have a good foundation of solid carpentry skills, knowledge, and tools this company is offering a stable opportunity to grow. POSITION SUMMARY: * Provide assistance for high quality workmanship to remodel or repair residences including walls, siding, windows, and deck repair as well as addition construction. * Sheetrock experience * Reflect a positive company image through TEAMWORK, a NEAT APPEARANCE, and PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS in working with customers * Demonstrate proper use and care of all tools including pneumatic (air), skills saws, and hand tools * Lift up to 70lbs alone * Maintain a clean and safe worksite by wearing all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required * Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance, a strong work ethic, and accountability to follow through on tasks * Exhibit a professional demeanor in speech and conduct to increase customer loyalty JOB REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma / GED * 1+ years of carpentry experience; and remodeling experience working within customer homes (Kitchens, Bathrooms, Additions, etc) * 8 to 12 months framing and concrete experience is helpful...…. * Previous experience using pneumatic tools and skill saw * Must have own hand tools - tool belt, hammer, tape measure, etc. Other Job Requirements: * Valid WA State driver's license * Clean Driving Record * Drug Testing required * Reliable personal vehicle and insurance (will drive to job sites) There are some tools required/needed for this work. * Valid WA State driver's license * Clean Driving Record * Drug Testing required * Reliable personal vehicle and insurance (will drive to job sites) HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE: Full time, 40 hrs per week.
