Local musicians with a steady house gig need a person to unload and place locally-stored heavy equipment, run cables, position instruments and do everything else necessary for the musician to simply walk on stage at the beginning of the show and walk off at the end. At the end of the show, the person will neatly store cables and instruments and then pack up and move the equipment to an on-site storage area.
The perfect candidate will have knowledge of PA systems, racked equipment, speaker and mic placement (to avoid feedback for instance) and all other aspects of set up and tear down. Training on the specifics for a couple of different configurations will be provided. Note: These variations are due mainly to weather conditions.
We are NOT interested in an active sound engineer. The lead musician runs the sound from the stage.
I'm going to cut through the B.S. and get STRAIGHT to the point.
If you are NOT reliable, dependable and consistent, don't waste either your or our time. The musicians are professionals with over 50 years of combined experience who are still quite capable of handling ANY performance but, because of advancing age and minor health issues, are no longer capable of handling the equipment involved in set up and tear down - so if you're NOT reliable, don't bother... If you do not show or are late, it directly affects the performance and that can NEVER happen. We are not capable of covering for you. That's the whole reason for this post. WE CAN'T DO THE SETUP ANYMORE. ;)
For the right candidate, compensation for a job of this nature will be better than most and will include a per-gig wage, compensation for travel and complimentary food and drink from the venue AND the venue is one of the most popular on the Treasure Coast.
Do I have your attention? GOOD! Let's go to work.
