Now that I have your attention..this is how you spot a scam listing on CL PETS without even going beyond the photo... #1 Photo is either professional looking, the CUTEST you have ever seen, wrong breed or "skewed" (narrow) #2 Background of photo is not in keeping with season...Christmas tree in April??... Flowers in December? #3 Price is the bargain of the century for the currently VERY desirable breed..ie $300 for a Maltese..not in this world #4 Impossible vet information...spay / neuter / all shots for young puppies (ie 8 wk old pup spayed?) #5 Title in listing is a combination of capital and small LeTterS. #6 City location is not listed but map often shows downtown Seattle or Greenlake #7 Description is mixed in with listing is for another animal altogether..ie lizard, bird, etc. #8 THE BIG GIVEAWAY IS THEIR "camouflaged" email address...ALWAYS INCUDED IN THE POST AND IS "G" MAIL!!!!! #9 Deposit before you are allowed to see the puppies/kittens IF YOU FALL FOR ANY OF THESE SCAMS...LIKE THEY SAY "A fool and their money are soon parted"
