TARZANA, CA — Police broke up a massive birthday party for singer Chris Brown at his Tarzana home in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Los Angeles police officers sent the crowd of 300 to 500 people home following reports of loud music at 2 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department and CBS2. Police ordered the crowd at Brown's home near Corbin Avenue and Wells Drive to disperse.
No arrests were reported at the party.
Brown had been celebrating his 32nd birthday Wednesday. It's a big year for Brown, who is a finalist for several Billboard Music Awards, including Top R&B Artist, Top R&B Male Artist, Top R&B Album, Top Radio Song, Top Collaboration, Top R&B Song and Top Hot 100 Song. The winners will be announced May 23.
Police are no strangers to Brown's Tarzana property. They have been called repeatedly to mediate noise complaints at the home. He was the victim of a home-invasion robbery in 2015. In 2016, he engaged in a daylong standoff with police, who eventually arrested him on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. In 2018, police seized an illegal pet monkey from the house. In 2019, Brown advertised a massive yard sale at his house drawing fans from around Southern California along with LAPD officers, who unsuccessfully sought to shut it down for lack of a permit.
