I have an immediate opening for a Full time position milking cows. The dairy is located in Erie, Colorado. * must have experience milking cows, MINIMUM of 6 months. *Bilingual Spanish and English preferred, not mandatory *Have references available to call and verify past employment if needed. *Humanely handle animals. We have a ZERO tolerance with animal abuse. ABUSE IS SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE TERMINATION AND CALL TO AUTHORITIES. Salary begins at $2100 month with FREE housing. The trailer offered is a 3 bedroom, 1 full bath Single wide with garage. The dairy pays ALL utilities (gas, propane,water, electricity, etc) We are a small dairy, milking 500 cows 2x day, the milk barn is a double 10 Herringbone You will be required to work 6 days a week. You will be working by yourself most of the shift, I provide help for you for the hospital pen. Typical schedule after training period: 2pm-11pm. Our past milker had Saturdays off, but we can discuss options for your day off. Other benefits include; * 1/2 cow every spring for meat (I supply the cow, you pay for the processing) *1 full pig in july for meat (same as above) *2 weeks paid vacation after 1yr of employment *all utilities are paid by the dairy and I do not charge rent. There is opportunity for overtime working outside the barn, outside of your normal shift hours. I do give monthly milk quality bonuses, added onto your normal salary If you have a spouse or relative, there are opportunities for part time employment. The ideal candidate needs to be a self motivator, able to handle high paced work, and humanely treat and handle my cattle.
