This can be a Job-share portion for senior Nursing/Physical Therapy students seeking clinical experience. $20/hr. Start May 12th.Background:The patient is a 70+ female with a recent ankle fracture so mobility is restricted. The patient has arm/leg weakness on one side with possible neurodegenerative disease. The patient lives with family in Batavia. Duties include: Assist patient with an ankle injury and arm/leg weakness to regain range of motion and improve quality of life. Educate the patient about staying fit and preventing future injuries. Assist patient with tasks such as measuring Blood Pressure, Sugar level, medication intake and record data. Help with transfer/mobility tasks to help the patient get off the wheelchair to bed or into the bathroom. Assist family member with bath 2-3 x a week. Interact with patient to ensure social well-being. Keep notes. 2-4 hours/ a day. Possible shifts: 7:30-9:30a or 7:30-11:30a.
