looking for a medium sized dog

We are looking for a medium sized dog to add to our family. Puppy to 5yr. A dog that would enjoy country walks, bonfires, a small pond. He/she would be an indoor dog except when we are outside. We are empty nesters and semi-retired. We have an acre fenced off of our home and live in the country on 10 acres. No preference for male or female. If you can help in our search, please reach out.
