HOOVER, AL — One of Alabama's most famous athletes will be on hand for the Alabama Sports Medicine Institute's inaugural James Andrews Golf Tournament. Former Auburn University standout, NFL All-Pro and MLB All-Star Bo Jackson will be on hand for the charity event May 11 at Ross Bridge.
The goal of the tournament will be to raise funds for ASMI, which they will use to implement and begin funding an Athletic Trainer fellowship program at Andrews Sports Medicine, as well as to raise awareness of ASMI's mission.
Joining Jackson on the course at Ross Bridge will be UAB football coach Bill Clark, Southeastern Conference director of officials Steve Shaw and former University of Alabama football All-American and Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach John Mitchell.
