Inspectors, Surveyors, Longshore workers needed We are looking for a committed individual to conduct offshore fuel surveys on anchored vessels in Long Beach. The ideal candidate should have a valid TWIC card, live near Long Beach / San Pedro and be one of the following: 1) Current/former inspectors with experience in gauging tanks. 2) Current/former cargo surveyors with experience surveying bulk cargo 3) Current/former longshoremen or casuals with experience working on a commercial vessel. Ideally, we would like to have someone with a relatively open schedule, but understand this is only a part-time gig; thus, we hope to have a few individuals on call as needed. If your schedule is more open and more flexible, this may be the right gig for you. Additional details: each job is variable and can last anywhere between 6 to 12 hours. We anticipate between 3 to 5 jobs per month. Payment will be on a contract basis per job and range between $200 and $400 depending on the time involved. Negotiations within this range are open and depend on your experience and how much support you would need.
