Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk organizes and tracks daily shipments and aids in providing total customer satisfaction by the selling and promoting Rugby Architectural Building Products and services to existing and new customers. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Who We Are Looking For: 1+ years experienced warehouse person Fast paced environment for someone who is quick, but safety conscientious Able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification Lumber yard experience a plus Must be highly quality-minded in all job functions Good oral communication, employee relations and customer service skills Previous experience in shipping/receiving helpful Demonstrated computer & basic math skills Experience with inventory management Ability to multi-task and problem solve Knowledge of UPS, LTL & Agility systems What You will Do: Processes tickets for warehouse shipping Ordering, receiving, assigning of materials and work orders for top shop Create paperwork for truck routes and delivery tickets for next day’s delivery Develop processes, spreadsheets, and procedures to maximize productivity Provide customer service to new and existing customers at counter sales as needed Maintaining ongoing customer communications and coordinating logistics in various projects and assignments Proactively stays informed of daily happenings and potential adjustments Answering customer inquiries and resolving customer complaints Verifying item & pricking accuracy for customer orders Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies Assist in taking inventory as required on a regular basis Perform other duties and responsibilities as required Assist branch truck driver by loading and securing material in the truck in a manner that assures no damage in transit Essential Physical Requirements: Be able to use hands to operate a computer or other keyboard instrument Movement from sitting to standing and walking a variety of distances frequently throughout the day Ability to lift extremely heavy awkward products repeatedly to store, removes from storage for fabrication, or load onto a truck 50-100 lbs. with a helper Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency and intensity in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching Be able to lift and carry products from 5-20 lbs weight to demonstrate features and functions to the customer The functions of this position may be exposed to modest amounts of cold, heat, dust, fumes and noise What’s in It for You: No weekends Competitive Medical – Dental – Vision Short Term and Long-Term Disability Life Insurance 401(k) Traditional & Roth Paid Time Off Great TEAM environment This role is a Safety Sensitive position.
