Description

The band I am in is ending after 13 years so here goes… “The last charge of Wyatt Earp and his immortals” I’m am in my mid ’60 looking to keep playing for a while longer. I have played guitar and/or keyboards since 1975. Interested in 50’s through 70’s music of all styles (probably not disco). Not looking for “every weekend” but not interested in just getting together in the basement. Fine at playing leads and rhythm on guitar. Vocally I am fine with singing some leads and harmonies are no problem. If on keyboard, I would want to feel like an actual part of the group, not the guy in the back corner that “fills out your sound”. I would like to just stick to mostly Hammond and/or piano sounds that are appropriate for the time period. It has always been important to me to get as close to the originals as possible when doing covers. I have also make it a point to always have professional equipment that get the sounds that are appropriate for the music that is being performed. I have been playing very consistently since 1975. 38 out of those 46 years have been with two groups. In those groups people knew that getting along with each other, enjoying each other’s company, and putting a quality product out there were of equal importance. Looking for that type of fellow musician. Looking to have fun by making a great ensemble sound together and having a full dance floor, not by playing as loud as I can and/or drinking all I can. I have some ideas for a marketable startup groups and I have a few connections to get a few gigs. Whether it’s an existing group or you are interested in a start-up group, let me know, we can at least talk. Thanks, Dave
