Description
Primary roll - As a maintenance technician in the residential property management field, you’ll have a consistent, secure job that enables you to work with your hands, help people, and solve problems. Maintenance technicians prepare apartments/homes for new residents, make repairs and perform routine maintenance in and around the community.
Roles and Responsibilities'
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment
• Assist with the maintenance operations and repairs of the property
• Assist with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Report time and attendance
Customer Service
• Understand the needs and expectations of residents and exceed their expectations
• Maintain active and effective communication with residents and staff
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and implementing a successful turn
• Ensure service requests are completed in a timely manner
• Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls
Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
• 2 years’ experience with electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, etc.
• Must have excellent communication and people skills
• Pass a drug test
• Computer literacy preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Tools a plus
• No criminal history
