Hi everyone. This is Baloo, our cockatoo. He flew away for the very first time yesterday. We found him hopping from tree to tree but by nightfall, he got scared away and didn’t respond to our calls anymore. He shows that he wants to fly down to us but he seems nervous and afraid to do so. He probably doesn’t like the feeling of flying down. This being his first time. If you spot him and are able to lure him in for us, food will help. He loves food. Just nothing dairy. He loves crackers, fruit and Cheerios. He is very friendly but afraid of people at first. If you find him or see him, please write me. I will come over ASAP to continue our attempts to get him back. We did call the fire department when we were able to keep him put in one tree. but I was told that they did not have the bucket trucks to reach high up into trees. I was also told by them that no neighboring fire station has the bucket trucks to help. We called a few tree service companies but no one showed. most of them seemed afraid of not receiving their pay if they came out but Baloo flew away again 🥺
