Original art rock or Yes tribute?

Description

I've played bass, bass pedals and backing vocals in a Yes tribute, guitar in a Rush tribute, pop bands, rock bands and some fusion. Looking for creative musicians to play with. I have a place to meet and full bass, guitar and drum rigs with decent recording capability. I'm playing with the idea of another Yes tribute if the right people show up and want to go that route. On the other hand if I could find the right mix of people to do something original I'd be up for that as well. Nothing set in stone, but my leanings would be towards early Yes and Genesis but totally open to something more trim. Like a Talking Heads or Police meets the Belew era of King Crimson. Or the direction of XTC's later work. Clean and bright. Not dark and heavy. Experimental but OK if somewhat derivative of the influences mentioned. Creative for sure. Looking for grownups who know how to create, listen to each other's ideas and try any suggestion at least once. Prima donnas, napoleons and all forms of preaching political obsessives need not apply. Let's have some creative fun and make something good. I wonder if this will even generate interest nowadays.
