Water and Wastewater Operator - $24 per hour (Contract Operations position traveling from around Berks and Schuykill Counties) compensation: $24 per hour, higher if certified in water and wastewater. employment type: full-time/ weekend A local company seeks a qualified water and wastewater operator to perform work doing daily testing and maintenance of facilities. This position is a full time position that requires you own transportation. The work will be as needed working limited weekends in the those areas. Hours will be around 8 hours per day, Holidays and on call is required. A small company is seeking to train a person to perform work doing daily testing and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities in the Berks County and Schuykill County Areas. Requirements: Must have basic mechanical skills and be handy at using tools Must be able to climb steps and ladders Valid drivers license Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 60 pounds Ability to work outside in all types of weather during all seasons Must have a cell phone and computer with internet Must be able to distinguish colors as part of lab testing Must be able to take direction from others. Must be comfortable working by yourself. No smoking around the sites. Must have your own transportation. Desired Skills Experience working with lab equipment, pumps and blowers Electrical or plumbing background a plus Wastewater/Water certification a plus but on job training available Must have basic mechanical skills and be handy using tools Please reply with your resume for immediate consideration.
