Job Details: Brush Cutting Laborer Full-time $17 an hour Day shift, 10 hour shift SEASONAL WORK – June-October Qualifications • Heavy lifting • Brush Cutting Full Job Description: San Bernardino, Riverside & Los Angeles Counties Full time, M-F - 10 Hours Per Day $17 per hour with an extra $1 per hour for candidates with verified experience SEASONAL WORK – June-October DEFINITION: Working on a crew clearing weeds, brush, and combustible debris from roadside and other property in fire hazard areas. Work will include hillsides and flat areas. Essential Job Functions • Works as part of a weed clearance crew clearing property of grass, weeds, and other combustibles. • Clears brush and weeds using hand tools such as clippers, shovels and rakes and gas powered weed trimmers depending on site needs. • Takes direction from crew leader and works well with others. SELECTION REQUIREMENTS • One year of, full-time outdoor work experience in the eradication and control of weeds, brush, or other highly preferred. • Willingness to learn to operate equipment safely. • Ability to meet physical demands of position. • Punctuality and reliability a must. • Tractor disking and mowing experience is Highly desired. Prevailing wage work available for tractor operator with verifiable work experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Arduous: Involves frequent heavy lifting over 25 pounds, often combined with bending, twisting, or working on irregular surfaces; and occasionally requires extraordinary physical activity.
