The Landscape Foreman will directly over see a 2 to 5 - person crew. This person would see all projects from beginning to end and ensure their completion with efficiency, safety and accuracy. You would be responsible for mobilization and demobilization in a timely manner, manage and maintain job sites in an effective manner. You would also be required to deliver or have materials delivered to the job sites at the right times so that work may not be impeded. As a landscape crew leader, you will need to know and be proficient in; renovation/enhancements, irrigation, plant id, hardscapes, retaining walls and installs. You will also be expected to train and monitor the crew members in which you supervise. Safety, skill and ethic must be instilled to maintain a healthy operating crew. Responsibilities Safety Maintenance and Training • Make sure that all equipment and trailers are loaded or attached properly and are to DOT specifications. • Maintain trucks, trailers and equipment on a regular basis to prevent field failures and safety hazards. • Awareness of aging tools that may need replacement or repair. • Ensure that crew members do not exceed physical limitations outline in the company policy handbook. • Must train crew members to do specified work properly and with care. Requirements • Valid Colorado drivers’ license. • At least 2 years of labor experience. • At least 1 year of foreman experience. • No scheduling conflicts. • Must be able to work up to 50 hours per week if needed. • Positive attitude and work ethic. • Understanding of management and physical labor. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Preferred Skills • Management • Sales Salary • $20 - $25/hr. Depending on Experience. • 1-week paid vacation after first year of employment and good performance reviews. • $1,000 sign on bonus after first 90 days.
