Description

Want to learn how to play the piano? Berklee College of Music graduate is now accepting beginner to intermediate level students. If you've never touched a piano and was curious, now is the time to act on instinct. Beginner/Intermediate students are my specialty and methods are designed to accommodate to your pace of learning and individual needs. Learn everything you need to know to play piano including technique, fingerings, chord structure, chord voicing, reading, writing and more. Along with learning the Piano, the student will also learn "Music Theory" in order to make you not only a better pianist but also a better musician that can apply the theory to other instruments. Learning "Songs" is also a big part of understanding how music works. Not just being able to analyze a piece of music, but playing, listening, and writing music. - Harmony -- Want to know how to produce rich, beautiful, chords and supporting a song structure? - Melody -- Humming something in your head and wish you could put down on paper or piano.? - Rhythm -- Tapping your foot lately? Like to know the rhythm behind what you're playing? - Modes -- Miles Davis used them and he's cool, why can't you! - Scales -- Don't you know scales aren't just used for practicing? - Reading Music -- Hey if you're going to learn another language wouldn't you want to be able to read it too! - Ear Training - Now this is some tricky stuff, but very rewarding. Let's make those ears grow! Lessons can be a half hour or an hour, whatever you choose. Both rates are very reasonable. Home studio located 2 blocks off the F Train. If coming to BK is not accessible to you, we can discuss me coming to you for additional rates. Interested students please contact me for more info.
