Everyone who meets Danny falls in love with him. When he looks into your eyes, your heart melts. He's a happy dog and when he wags his tail, which is often, his whole-body wags with it. Danny has all the characteristics of a great dog: He is a sweet, loving lap dog, walks well on leash, loves riding in the car, potty trained, food motivated, easily trainable, LOVES people, and he doesn't bark, drool or shed. Where he is unique, is that he is off the charts smart! He is our 20th foster dog and he is the first to watch TV; and when I say, "Watch TV," I mean, he is glued to the TV and will watch an entire show and more. (The 3rd photo is Danny watching TV.) One of the first Nature shows I put on, showed two grizzly bears starting to fight and Danny got up and started barking at them. I had to change the channel. He'll even watch our shows. During the day, he is completely entertained by spending his time looking out the front window, watching all the action that goes by.
An ideal home for Danny would have a window facing a street. A secure, fenced yard is a must. He isn’t a runner per se but if he catches a scent, he’s off.
Danny is a rescue from a little town on the South Baja. His family surrendered him after he was gored by a cow. He is 2 years old, around 60#s and short haired. Our guess is that he is a Plott Hound/Coon Hound mix. Before being flown to the US, Danny had a complete wellness checkup by a licensed Veterinarian. All his shots are up to date and he has been neutered. There is an adoption fee, paid directly to the rescue.
