As we enter yet another fire season here in California, I am grateful that we have a governor who has been pro active to protect our communities. Newsom has added SEVEN C130 airplanes to our air fire fighting fleet. Newsom has added FIVE chinook helicopters to our air fire fleet. Aircraft are now able to respond to any wildfire in California within 20 minutes. This is a huge leg up on keeping wildfires from getting out of control. Newsom has also added 400 more seasonal CDF firefighters to our staff. Newsom has also developed a plan to train and deploy our national guard to responded to fires. Newsom also has implemented a plan to manage the forests in wildfire prone areas and reduce the risks fires destroying our communities. Thank you Gavin for being proactive about combating wildfires.
