All About Felix: We adopted Felix almost four years ago and he has become a wonderful dog! Sadly, as our little baby has become mobile, the dynamic between Felix and our other dogs has become too troublesome to keep them all in the same home. Felix is a red heeler mix that is about 25lbs and possibly 5 to 6 years old. He loves adventures of all kinds - he is a great little mountain biking dog! He is a sweetheart and loves to snuggle as well. Ideally, Felix will find a home as a solo dog, or with a non-competitive friendly dog. Felix could be in a home with older children who are good with dogs. We have never seen him around cats, but I think he would likely ignore them. He does have some behavioral issues, but they are all very manageable and will improve when he is in a home by himself or with less competitive dogs. When he is on his leash he uses a Herm-Sprenger collar with a lot of success to prevent him from pulling. He also is very food motivated, so he uses a slow-feeder bowl for meals. He loves treats and responds very well to treat training! Felix will bring his collar and feeder bowl to his new home, along with his leash and all of his other accessories. He has wonderful recall when off leash, and seldom has any issues with other dogs off-leash. We want to find an active home for Felix where he will get all the love and attention he deserves.
