Then our Mechanic position is perfect for a person like you! The SWERVE AUTO Mechanic has an exceptional work ethic, is trustworthy and reliable, and is committed to providing top-notch service. We need an applicant that wants a career, not a job. • Previous work as a vehicle mechanic or dealership experience preferred, however, we will train an entry level mechanic who demonstrates a passion for our business and the work we do. • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives. • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations • Completing preventive maintenance such as, Conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components. • Ability to diagnose vehicle problems, perform light/heavy automotive mechanical repairs, vehicle maintenance, change tires. • Maintaining supplies • Ability to use shop computers necessary for diagnostics. • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork • Excellent time management and verbal communication skills. • Ability to analyze and solve problems. • Ability to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met. • Attention to detail and pride in your work. • A/C, Steering, Suspension and Brake Certifications preferred, but not required. • Reliable transportation, required. • Valid driver’s license, required. • Alignment experience, a bonus. • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety • Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Hours: • May include: Holidays/Early Mornings/Evenings/Saturdays/Sundays • We are looking for flexibility in schedules to meet coverage needs • Roughly 40-50 hours/week This position requires individuals who work well independently and can think on their feet in a fast-paced environment while displaying professionalism with our clients and coworkers. We will provide detailed training. Compensation based on experience.
