WAREHOUSE MANAGER PURPOSE Leading Home improvement company seeks Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations. The Warehouse manager must become familiar with creating pick lists for each job. Although the jobs are similar, they vary by customizable options and must have consumable items added (wiring, breakers etc.) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES • Direct the day-to day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc. • Responsible for keeping levels of consumable items in stock to meet weekly demands of crews and sub-contractors • Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. • Prepare pick lists for all jobs (1-4 jobs per day). Major components are purchased directly to the job. • Consumable items must be added based on the electrician’s and technician’s specifications • Responsible for refreshing project kits with spares of critical components • Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection. • Ensure products are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. • Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. • Perform other related duties as directed by management. • Ensures 100% accuracy of counts and staged items for the days jobs (these are known in advance) • Modifies and updates pick lists based on specifications for each job (these are known in advance) PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS Physical Work – Ability exert 30 – 60 pounds of force occasionally, and or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS • 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a custom job shop warehouse environment). • Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills • Effective communication skills (oral and written). • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines. • Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
