Blues, Brews, and BBQ will feature a robust BBQ competition, craft beer, and notable blues acts such as Grammy Award Winner Alvin Hart! The Second Annual Blues, Brews, and BBQ Festival will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 2PM to Midnight. The festival will feature a robust barbecue competition, craft beer, and seven fantastic blues acts including: Alvin ‘Youngblood’ Hart (Grammy Award Winning Blues Artist, Mississippi) Mikey Mike and the Big Unit (Portsmouth, Ohio) Lil Red and the Rooster (Columbus, Ohio) Deuce n’ a Quarter (Columbus, Ohio) Jimmy D. Rogers (Cincinnati, Ohio) Joey Ray (Portsmouth, Ohio) Smoky River Band (Portsmouth, Ohio) Blues, Brews, and BBQ is hosted by the Spartan Stadium Renovation Project. The Spartan Stadium Renovation Project is dedicated to raising awareness and securing the necessary funding to restore Portsmouth’s former NFL Stadium. Hall of Famers like Dutch Clark and Jim Thorpe played on the field before the team was sold and moved north to become the Detroit Lions in 1934. Come be a part of history by enjoying great food, music, and beer at our historic Spartan Stadium!
