Join us for a 15 to 30 mile community ride through the nation's capital from Anacostia Park Roller Pavillion. The Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Omicron Lambda Alpha Chapter Present The OLA Bike RideDate: April 18th, 2021 Time: 10:30 AM Location: Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavillion Detailed Information: The OLA Ride will start from the Anacostia Park Roller Skating Pavilion parking lot 1500 Anacostia Dr, Washington, D.C., DC 20020 https://goo.gl/maps/PyQp6svk5KYjm6RC8 This will be a 15 to 30 mile community ride throughout the nation's capital. Meetup time is on 5/16/2021 at 10:30 AM. We will leave at 11:00 AM SHARP! WHEN YOU ARRIVE, GEAR UP. THIS WILL HELP SPEED UP OUR START TIME. Be aware there may not be restrooms at the parking lot at the start of the ride. This ride is intended for Beginners to Intermediate riders, with 2 groups (group 1-15 miles) and (group 2-30 miles) however we welcome all riders. The ride is 15 to 30 miles around the National Mall and Bethesda Row, but you can ride as many miles as you'd like. We will have bike marshals leading in the front, middle, and back of the ride. For the most part, the roads are pretty flat, with an rolling hill up to Bethesda Row area. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY! NO HELMET, NO RIDE. Have a mask to wear when not riding. 3. CARRY A SPARE TUBE, PATCH KIT, PUMP, WATER BOTTLE, AND SNACK. 4. Carry identification and emergency money. 5. Practice safety and obey all traffic laws. 6. Do not "bike off" more than you can do. Go on rides within your ability, interest, and experience level. 7. If you get a flat tire, you are responsible for changing your tire. 8. MAKE SURE YOUR BICYCLE IS IN PROPER WORKING ORDER BEFORE YOU ARRIVE! 9. FOR SAFETY REASONS, NO MUSIC/HEADPHONES, PLEASE. Need everyone able to hear other riders, cars, etc. A single earpiece for Nav/GPS is okay. To the all Brothers of Alpha that are attending we encourage you to wear your ΑΦΑ cycling kits and gear!!!
