Shady Babies Stand-Up Showcase is the love child of all things awesome happening in Chicago Comedy, featuring our city's FUNNIEST stand-ups Geoffrey Asmus: Geoffrey Asmus began performing stand-up in 2013 immediately after wasting $143,548 in college. Within a short time Geoffrey won Comedy on State’s “Funniest Person in Madison 2015” and Penguin Comedy Club’s “Funniest Person in Iowa 2015,” both times beating out the guy who invented meth, Quentin. Soon after Geoffrey was selected as a ‘New Face’ performer at Just For Laughs Montreal and was featured on FOX’s ‘Laughs’ and Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. He has also performed at the Laughing Skull, Bridgetown, Limestone and Boston comedy festivals and won 3rd place in Atlanta’s 2017 Laughing Skull festival. Geoffrey has opened for Brian Posehn, Aparna Nancherla, Todd Barry, Daniel Sloss and Alonzo Bodden among others. Lindsey Shaw: Known for her bawdy and endearingly self-depreciating bits, Lindsey has been doing stand-up comedy throughout the greater Chicago area, Michigan, Indiana and New York for five years. She’s performed at renowned clubs including Laugh Factory, Zanies, The House of Blues, Eastville Comedy Club, UCB and The Comedy Bar—as well as produced several DIY, pop up shows around Chicago. Ty Riggs: Known for his edgy and unorthodox style, Chicago native Ty Riggs has no problem putting you in his shoes and giving you a tour through his hilarious world. From politics to relationships, he has something to say about it all. He is one of the original Martin Luther Kings of Comedy and can be seen all over the city killing the stage with his unmistakable hair and voice. Jessica Mance: Jessica is a Chicago comic originally from Northern California. Jessica's perspective of the world is influenced by her experience as a bisexual, Black woman recklessly navigating her 20s. She looks like she has her life together, but she's actually just a high functioning hot mess.
