Salem Police To Host Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic

SALEM, MA —Salem residents whose dogs and cats are due for rabies vaccinations will have the chance to get a free one at the police station early next month. Salem police will host the clinic for dogs and cats only on June 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. The Veterans Association of the North Shore will run the clinic. Animal Control Officer Don Famico will oversee the clinic at the rear of the police station on Margin Street. Residents are asked to bring all past vaccination certificates to receive a three-year vaccination. Otherwise, a one-year vaccination will be administered. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier. Humans must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
