Description

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Water hydrant flushing could cause some discolored water in the town on a rolling basis throughout next week. The Water Department will conduct its annual flushing program beginning Sunday night at 11 p.m. Flushing will run from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. in different neighborhoods throughout the week. Residents could experience discolored water early in the mornings. Those who see brownish water should run the cold water in your sink until the water runs clear. "This may take several minutes," the Water Department said. "Please refrain from using the hot water or doing laundry until the discoloration is gone." Residents are advised to call the Water Department at 781-631-0102 if problems persist. Did you find this article useful? Invite a friend to subscribe to Patch.
