HEMPSTEAD, NY — A fire destroyed a home in Hempstead Wednesday morning. The call came in around 11 a.m. for a fire at a home on Terrace Avenue, near Bedell Street. Multiple fire departments responded and were eventually able to get the blaze under control, but it destroyed the home. It's unclear at this time if anyone was injured, or how the fire started.
