Description
CONNECTICUT — Jill Konopka, a veteran television news reporter who covered Connecticut in the past, has returned to the state, this time with Fox 61.
Konopka spent a decade in the state with WFSB and NBC Connecticut before stints in Boston, and most recently, her hometown of Albany. The Laurel, which first reported the news of Konopka's return, wrote that she is already back to her "hard charging form."
According to her LinkedIn page, Konopka has broken several scoops, including one about the premature release of a jailed killer; another about a priest accused of molestation; and one on a pre-dawn FBI raid.
Konopka also helped raise money for the Red Sox Foundation in 2017 by running 116 laps around Fenway Park.
She also has received honors from the Society of Professional Journalists for her in-depth reporting, both individually and with colleagues.
