We are bursting at the seams! and we are looking for at least 1 new team member to join our program. Herndon Children's Center is a non-profit/NAEYC accredited organization that has been providing quality childcare for children from 6 weeks of age up to eight years of age for 30 years. We provide a safe, nurturing, fun, family friendly environment for children to learn, play and grow within. Our team is committed to the children/families we serve and we are looking to expand our team! Basic Job Responsibilities: *Love, care for, encourage and teach the children we serve *Ensure that care meets both DSS and NAEYC guidelines *Help maintain a fun, healthy classroom environment *Lift up to 40 lbs; get down on a child's level *Others as listed in written job description/as requested by Director Basic Job Requirements: *A high school diploma/equivalent; CDA preferred *Minimum of one year experience working w/young children *Ability to meet licensing/NAEYC requirements for educators *Flexibility in scheduling/hours available to work *Must be at least 18 years of age *Must be willing to undergo various background checks as required by the state Job Types: Full-time, Part-time COVID-19 considerations:All students aged 5 yrs and up REQUIRED to wear mask; All students aged 2-4 yrs strongly encouraged to wear masks; ALL staff REQUIRED to wear a mask (unless medical waiver provided); daily health screens for all; intensified daily cleaning protocols.
