For Your Joy MMP (Multimedia Productions) takes a journey through African American History in this Juneteenth performance event. Take a journey with us through the major eras in African American history with live performances. We will remember the impact of slavery in America, then fast forward to the Harlem Renaissance period of the 1920s featuring artists like Langston Hughes and Charlie Parker. We can’t stop there because the Civil Rights Movement ended racial segregation and led to Brown vs Board of Education. Now in the Black Lives Matter era, we are currently dealing with social and economic injustices. AA History has been a complex part of American history but an essential component to the development of this country’s success. Let’s celebrate our victories. We have limited seats available and masks are required to enter the building. Performances and a Jerk Dinner Buffet followed by Karaoke. This will be an event to remember!
