Description
Summary:
The Service Technician diagnoses vehicle undercar mechanical problems and installs, repairs and rebuilds components.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Test drives and diagnoses undercar issues, including Suspension, Steering, Driveline and Differentials issues.
Provides written repair evaluation based on inspection.
Rebuilds undercar units, including Suspension, Steering, Driveline and Differential for retail and wholesale customers.
Disassembles unit, inspects and cleans housing and parts, repairs or replaces parts; reassembles unit.
Follow established policies and procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Minimum year of directly related automotive service technician experience, including differentials, driveline, suspension and steering.
Solid understanding of automotive drive train fundamentals.
High school diploma. Prefer additional related education and ASE certifications.
Valid Washington State driver license and clean driving record.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stretch and stoop, and to lift and carry up at least 50 lbs.
Job involves considerable physical activity throughout the work day.
Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
Must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the Company vision;
Strong demonstrated knowledge in aftermarket driveline auto parts and repair.
Strong communication skills, team orientated philosophy, and problem solving skills.Ability to understand issues and make systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information
Strong customer service skills.
Strong technical and mechanical background required. Proven experience in effectively working in a highly driven environment.
